Our customer uses DRV8711 on their two identical design. however one of the design is experiencing a very loud noise from the motor.
He have two identical hardware setups, and each hardware setup is running the same firmware. In one setup the motor is quiet, and in the other the motor is very noisy. He is using the same motor in each hardware setup as well.
He have attempted to measure the output voltage across one phase of the motor, however he is only able to see the PWM cycle rather than the sinusoidal curve.
He have already looked through the application note (DRV8711 Decay Mode Setting Optimization) as well. His concern is that his register settings work fine for one hardware setup, but not an exact replica setup.
Any idea on what he should look into?
