The website has documentation for the earlier Rev D board which is visually quite different. Could I get the schematic, gerbers etc for the new Rev F board? Documentation of changes to the schematic might be useful as well in case there are changes that should be incorporated into our design.

Doug,

The schematic for the REV F board is available online at the following link. You will need to install the software and navigate to the folder for the DRV8412-C2-Kit.

The REV D is just a basic EVM that allows operation with any microprocessor and just demonstrates the power capability on the device.

The REV F version is part of a complete kit that includes motors, power supply, and a C2000 processor card. All the circuitry (current feedback, voltage feedback) to close the loop around the DRV8412 for motor control is also included on the PCB. It is a complete system vs. the earlier revision that demonstrated just the power inverter device...DRV8412.

Seems a bit silly that I need to download a 412 MB zip file in order to get a PDF that should be readily available on the EVM's page.

Has this been updated yet?

Hard to argue with you on that one, but once you download it....you will get automatic updates to any of the documents that change like the schematic, gerbers, software, etc.

If you purchased the EVM, the document is also on the USB stick that is included in the kit.

It's possible to have the Orcad project file for DRV8412EVM_RevG-Schematic .sch or .DSN? In the folder of controlsuite is not present.

Unfortunately, this EVM was done using Mentor Graphics - Expedition, so no Orcad file exists and I have not found a way to make the Expedition files compatible with other design tools.

but only for the ic module DRV8412 there is Orcad symbol file?
