DRV8829: OUTx shorted to GND.

Hi team,

The resistance value of the OUTpin to GND was 0.1Ω.
I think the Lowside FET seems to be broken.
What are the factors that cause the Lowside FET to break?
What is the current rating of the Lowside FET?

    Hi Kengo,

    Exceeding the maximum current, temperature,and voltage specifications of the device for a prolong time can damage the FETs. Isolated events like ESD or large voltage/current spikes in the system can also damage the device.

    The DRV8829 device can drive up to 5-A continuously with thermal and power dissipation being a limiting factor.
