DRV8833: Output current accuracy

Part Number: DRV8833

Hi,

Customer wants to calculate the accuracy when Iout set = 500mA.
(Rsense=0.4Ω±1)

The following formula is described in the data sheet.
We consider Risense and Vtrip accuracy for Ichop accuracy calculation.
Is this way of thinking correct?
Should I consider other output current accuracy?

Regards,
Yusuke

  • Yusuke-san,

Vtrip gives the Ichop accuracy info. It has 40mV error when the sense resistor voltage is 200mV. This error doesn't include the sense resistor error. In general, the sense resistor error would be much smaller than the Vtrip tolerance.

"We consider Risense and Vtrip accuracy for Ichop accuracy calculation." Yes. This is correct.
