DRV8834: Holding current vs temperature

Part Number: DRV8834

I am trying to figure out, why the current consumption to the DRV8834 bridge + motor load is increasing 25% when surrounding temperature rises delta T = 25C. I am keeping the DRV8834 in Indexer Mode and outputs enabled. No STEPs or DIR is applied, meaning that the motor driving is "holding" the motor (without running). The Vref output is stable with temperature (goes to AVref/BVref). The current in the winding is rock solid, no change with temperature.

So it must be either the 5x gain of the sense circuit or the PWM control that varies with temperature. The resistance in the windings increases with temperature (10%), so does the self-inductance (5%).

Any ideas why I see 25% increase in total current increase into the DRV8834 bridge + motorload?

Thanks, Jacob.
