DRV10987: Drive a 24VDC BLDC sensorless motors to 40,000 rpm

Hi Team,

Our customer wants to know if the DRV10987 driver is suitable for wide speed range of 40,000 rpm on a 24VDC BLDC sensorless motors? Can we drive from very low speed 2000 rpm to 40000 rpm with the same setting? They need good torque adaption in low speed with around 3A max.

    Hello Danilo,

    From a cursory glance at this E2E FAQ, DRV10987 supports motor speeds between 1 and 1000 Hz. You would need the motor pole count to convert this to RPM. To support 40,000 RPM, this implies only a one pole pair motor is possible based on the equation found in the FAQ.
