Hi Team,

The customer wants to do product Selection.

1. Drive motor parameters: 5000-7000rpm, 24V power drive, current 5-8A, with optical encoder and Hall sensor origin positioning

2. Requires control positioning accuracy of 0.5 degrees;

3. The maximum noise does not exceed 55dB;

4. Evaluate whether there is an integrated drive and control (with FOC) integrated IC;

If none of the above, please recommend pre-drive (can support speed/direction adjustment/brake and other functions)

    I don't think you are going to find any integrated control solutions supporting position control of motors.

    5-8A is also a lot of power (120-192W), so a gate driver is needed. The best solution should be MCU + Gate Driver. 

    We have a reference design for servo drives using FOC & an encoder which you can reference. This one is designed for 48V: LINK

    Gate Driver:

    DRV8300 - lowest cost device for three 1/2-H gate drivers. Requires 12V supply and external current sensing will need to be external

    DRV8320 - No external 12V rail required. Current sensing will need to be external

    DRV8304 - Optimized for 24V rail, no external 12V rail required. Includes 3x low-side current sense amplifiers for MCU current sensing

    DRV8320R - No external 12V rail required. Included DC/DC to power MCU. Current sensing will need to be external

    DRV8323R - No external 12V rail required. Included DC/DC to power MCU. Includes 3x low-side current sense amplifiers for MCU current sensing

    MCU:

    MSP430FR2355 - MSP430 solution (may not have the specs needed, depending on the complete system)

    TMS320F280025C - C2000 solution
