DRV8434S: Drive a motor at 120rpm in 256 micro steps

Hi Team,

Our customer has an inquiry below.

Hello, we are considering product number DRV8434S for a mass production. We will drive a 2.2A motor. Our power supply will be 48 volts. We want to drive with 256 micro steps. We have examined the datasheet, but if we do not misunderstand it, it does not seem possible to reach high rpm (120rpm, etc.) speeds with these specifications. Can you confirm this information?

If the motor has 200 steps/rotation. 120rpm needs 400 full steps/s. With 256 micro-stepping, the step frequency is 102,400. You can check it with an EVM.

Please let me know why do you think it is not possible?
