DRV10983: current is abnormal

Hi Expert,

My customer use DRV10983PWPR and the current is abnormal.

Could you help to review the schematic?

    Hi Daniel,

    Thanks for posting your question in MD forum. Reason for abnormal current can be due to improper tuning. Can you upload the schematic in image format along with the device register configurations and the motor datasheet? If you don't have the motor datasheet, you can share the motor phase-phase resistance, phase-phase inductance, BEMF constant in mV/Hz, pole pairs and maximum speed in rpm.

    Hi Daniel,

    Thanks for sharing the schematic. I reviewed the schematic. We recommend to use 10 uF caps across Vcc and GND. I'm not sure why you have C14. Can you check if Vreg is configured to 3V or 5.5V? We recommend configuring Vreg to 5V.
