DRV8426EVM: Document detailing communication protocol used by DRV84xx GUI

I need the source code to DRV84xx GUI or a document providing details on the serial communication protocol used when sending command and control information to DRV8426EVM.

I will use this information to develop my own user interface.

The MSP430 hardware source code is included in the DRV84xxEVM software: https://www.ti.com/lit/zip/sloc358 That is what I have.

Hi Wang,

Thanks or your quick response. I do have the MSP430 source code. I am more interested in a document that explains the sequence of byte streams that are transacted between the GUI and the driver board (For example what byte sequences are used to request change of speed, or number of steps, etc.).

At the moment I am placing breakpoints in the code to examine the byte streams. A document that can provide details on the communication channel can be a great time saver.

Mehran,

GUI was done by a contract company. The global variants are defined to be used for both GUI and EVM's firmware.

When you run the GUI, after click "Fn" and "F12" at same time on your key board, you can see the GUI code.
