Hi,

Good day.

Our customer would like to know in which direction would the stepper motor would turn if it a signal is put on the DIR pin (i.e. High).

"The data sheet does not say if a high on the DIR pin makes the stepper motor rotate clockwise or counter clockwise."

    Cedrick,

    The stepper motor rotate clockwise or counter clockwise is decided by customer's output connection. For example: if customers swaps the wire connection, the spinning direction could be reversed.

    Please check the indexer table. At each rising edge of the STEP input the indexer travels to the next state in the table. The direction is shown with the DIR pin logic high. If the DIR pin is logic low, the sequence is reversed.
