Can dvr8350R used to drive the CSD18532KCS 60V N channel MOSFET?

I have referenced the DRV8350 evm, It use the drv8350R to drive the csd19532q5b, I have found the Rds(on) are almost same, also, the Vgs are same.

So if I can confirm that the DRV8350 can also used to drive the CSD18532KCS 60V N channel MOSFET with no schematic change?

I think it’s a good idea for you to use the FET rated up to 100V so you have some headroom. It’s best to not stress the FET by running it at the max voltage rating.

I am not sure what you mean? Because the continue drain current of the MOSFET csd19532q5b is 17A, It can not fit with my requirement.

so I select the CSD18532KCS 60V N channel MOSFET, it's continue drain current are more higher.

So can I use the DRV8350R to drive the CSD18532KCS 60V N channel MOSFET?

Hi Scaler_cao,

In short, using the FET that's rated to a higher voltage (CSD19532Q5B 100 V N-Channel) also means it's rated for a higher current.

I found a similar E2E question that I think you will find very useful. It talks about different types of current ratings including, package current rating, and the silicon rating.

I only attached part 3 as I think you will find it the most helpful. However the other parts are worth exploring.
