Multi-touch display

Hello Rakesh,

Can you recommend a 10" multi-touch display that would connect to HDMI or 100-pin port ? Please also explain the setup of multi-touch, where it is connected and if there is a driver in the Linux SW package.

Hi Alexey,

Below is the information for Multi-Touch Display support on OMAP5432-EVM,

Linux: Not validated any touchscreen driver with the release and currently the only display validated is the HDMI display.
Android: Yes, touch display has been implemented by several of customers using custom displays. Also, a custom cable is required to make this work with a ES2.0 OMAP5432-EVM.

Please contact the partners if you need support for this feature.

Did anyone find a "off the shelf" touch display that would work? thanks.

Currently using a lilliput 7" and calibration is all off.

Hi M F,

What's the connection between your Lilliput 7" touch screen and OMAP5EVM? HDMI?

I also hope can get some information to buy the Multi touch display for OMAP5EVM. I talked with SVT, they said they are working on this.

Yes HDMI through a HDMI mini to HDMI converter.

Hopefully someone can answer this.

I am able to make the Acer T232HL which is an HDMI with touch screen to work with the omap5432 uEVM. get the patch from the below site

then down load the new zImage. One more thing don't use the usb cable that comes with the monitor use a normal usb without the extra connector.

When you boot the board don't connect the USB cable from the touch screen. Once Android boots then you can connect the touch screen usb cable.

Also for some reason or other i can't get the multitouch to work. Once i get it working i will let you know.
