While I realise that the Jacinto6 EVM is not strictly part of the OMAP5 family, I cannot find any other forum that comes vaguely close, so...
I have a Jacinto6 "VAYU EVM XC5777X CPU ASSY 516580 REV G" system that I cannot get to boot under Ubuntu Linux. Having downloaded and installed the "ti-glsdk-dra7xx-evm_6_03_00_01" software, I tried building a bootable uSD card using the mksdboot.sh script and the 'board-support/prebuilt-images/" files but with *NO* success what-so-ever! Not a peep out of the serial console.
The (current, but I've tried others) switch settings are: SW2[0-7]/SW3[8-15] 01100000 10000001 SW5[0-9] 1010100000 SW8[1-2] 10 . Under these setting, a QNX IFS loads off the uSD card successfully using an MLO that comes with the QNX 6.6 DSP (Board Support Package).
Assuming that the prebuilt images might not have support for my board, I installed the yocto s/w and did a complete 'build-from-scratch' of everything for the "dra7xx-evm" target. A day later, I tried building an updated uSD card using the new MLO, u-boot.img, uImage, etc., but still no joy. :-(
Does anyone else have a system based on this EVM card, and have it booting into Ubuntu Linux or Androis for that matter?
NB. The Jacinto6 board is part of a "Spectrum DIGITAL" Infotainment system (touch display, IO devices that number more than my fingers and toes, ...)
