Dear Sir or Madam,
in the bq76920 up to the bq76940 there are chips with and without CRC check. We have seen in the bq76940 evaluation software that the software detects if a chip is connected with or without CRC checking.
Our question is: What is the most elegant way to detect in an embedded system if a chip is used with or without CRC checking?
Is the approach to try to communicate with or without CRC check and check if valid values come back the right solution, or is there another way to solve the problem?
