UCC27532: vs. Toshiba TLP152

Part Number: UCC27532
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC27531, UCC23513

Hello!

How do the TI UCC27532 and the Toshiba TLP152 compare? The component chosen will be used to drive MOSFETS SiR178DP from VISHAY and IAUT300N10S5N015 from Infineon which have similar Vgs values.

Is there anything you can think of that would prevent us from using the TI UCC27532 for this purpose?

Thanks,

Sarah

  • Hello,

Thanks for your interest in our driver.

UCC27531 is voltage driven device (you need 2V on input pin to activate high the output) whereas TLP is current driven (you need 15mA on input to activate high the output pin).

Depending on your controller, you may UCC27531 OR you may also use UCC23513 and family, which are current driven IC's and p2p with the TLP driver.
