LMR33630: Can the LMR33640 be used in place of the LMR33630?

Part Number: LMR33630
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMR33640,

Hello, the LMR33630 is not available anywhere that we've seen; can we use the LMR33640 instead?

Thanks,

Derek

  • Hi Derek,

The LMR33640 is the 4A version and is pin to pin compatible with the LMR33630. You should be able to simply drop in place this device and all should work fine assuming that you are using the DDA (HSOIC) package.

  • Hi Derek,

It will depend on which package and what switching frequency option you are using. If you are using the HSOIC at 400 kHz then you can use the LMR33640A, but it will obviously have a higher current limit.
