BQ40Z50-R2: SHUTDOWN and IATA SHUTDOWN modes

Part Number: BQ40Z50-R2

Hi,

we are reconsidering the fact if we should ship the batteries in SHUTDOWN mode.

Until now, none of our batteries are sent in shutdown mode also due to the fact that we like the bq to be active for protection and data collection.

From my understanding, with the bq40z50-R2 being completely disabled during SHUTDOWN mode it means no proection is active. Do you recommend this mode for shipping to be used even though the protections cannot be used?

What is the difference of IATA SHUTDOWN ? How is it different from "normal" shutdown mode, and which one do you actually recommend to activate after production for shipment time? I am wondering which are the advantages or differences the IATA shutdown provides?

Thank you in advance!

Kind Regards, Sabrina
