Hi
Can someone help me i have a Toshiba Satellite Pro A30-C-270 that fails to charge using a BQ24780S charge controller chip. The laptop works on battery without mains connected, works on mains with out battery present and works with mains and battery connected with the orange charge lit up. When i click on the battery icon in windows it displays 45% and 55min till fully charge but the % doesnt increase.
Ive removed and reinstalled the ACPI Complaint as recommended on youtube but its still the same, so im thinking hardware
This what ive checked so far
Replaced battery with known good one - no joy
Without the battery 8.5v at the inductor after the two mosfets with battery voltage @ 14.6v
Both mosfets have good diode mode reading
Output current sense resistor good measurement of 20.2 ohms
The voltage readings on the charge controller are
Pin 1: 18.7v
Pin 2: 18.7v
Pin 3: 18.86v
Pin 4: 19.17v
Pin 5: 3.25v
Pin 6: 2.7v
Pin 7 : 0v
Pin 8: 0v
Pine 9: 0.62
Pin 10: 0v
Pin 11: 3.20v
Pin 12: 3.20v
Pin 13: 0v
Pin 14: 0.4v
Pin 15: 0v
Pin 16: 0.5v
Pin 17: 14.6v
Pin 18: 14.6v
Pin 19: 14.6v
Pin 20: 14.6v
Pin 21: 1.09v
Pin 22: GND
Pin 23: 0v

Pin 25 : 14.33v
Pin 26 : 14.47v
Pin 27 : 14.6v
Pin 28: 19.10v
Charger voltage 19.28v. Battery voltage 14.6v
Ive put a post up on discord and a guy advised that i change the charge controller ic BQ24780S and the 2 switching mosfet of which i now have but the fault still remains the same
Any clues / help would be gratefully accepted
Kind Regards David
