Hi all

My customer has a 2S2P battery pack with a capacity of 7Ah and they are evaluating the

BQ28Z610 Battery fuel gauge with integrated protector for 1-2 series packs

Can you provide instructions as to what they should do for getting started ?

What is the collateral they should consult and the tools they should use ?

Thank you and best regards

Ueli

  • Hello,

They will need to run the learning cycle for the gauge to accurately calculate SOC. The steps can be found in SLUA903.

The EVM users guide covers the hardware setup and calibration which should be done first.

1: Follow EVM users guide for bqStudio interface examples and how to attach hardware and do a calibration.

2: Run the learning cycle following SLUA903.

3: Configure your protections and other dataflash settings for the application.

4: Export final golden image for programming other gauges.

    Sincerely,

    Wyatt Keller
