TPS61196: Using PWM inputs as a flash control

Hi,

The datasheet says "The PWM frequency ranges from 90 Hz to 22 kHz" however I wish to use the PWM input as simply a fast turn on/off for an array of LEDs. I want to enable the LEDs for the duration of a camera exposure and then disable them. It looks like I can do this with the TPS61196 but I'd like confirmation please.

Hi Paul,

Your want to use PWM pin for simple enable control of one channel right? Yes it can be achieved by the device. The ON time need to be above 10us since the PWM detection circuit need a minimum time to sample the input.

It will be for all 6 channels simultaneously but yes, just a simple enable control. Thanks for the confirmation.
