Hi people.

Currently I am using the BQ35100 evaluation kit to do some testing with a pair of batteries in series. I am testing the EOS mode to see how this device behaves. I am applying a new Battery but the following error appears:

WriteMACReadBlock communication error :First two bytes of MAC response read from device does not match MAC command sent.

And no command is sent because it doesn´t even appear on the log pannel

How can I solve this problem?

Can you share your bqStudio screenshot? Are you able to perform other successful communications with bqStudio?

Hi Wyatt

I can perform any other feature like start, stop, reset, etc. Also, I was able to program the right chemistry (Saft LS 14500) and even calibration. The error that pops up when I send "NEW_BATTERY" command, is not shown because now I am doing a test with a battery since it seems the restart was done regardless of the error. I try to determine how precise the SOH in EOS is to see how reliable could be and also how good is the EOS feature. Below, you can have a screenshot of the BQstudio at this moment. Do you need another screenshot from other registries?

Also, I have another question: Is Ra the impedance curve preloaded with the Chemistry ID? or it is the result of the measurements?

You can also try to turn off Scan and Auto Refresh to see if the error disappears.

I still get the error but the averages and EOS pulse counts were set to 0 again. This problem also happens when you try to send the command LT_EN. Although the bit in the BQStudio is enabled, I had to set the bit through Config A.

It suggest it works anyways but at the same time, I have my suspects...
