BQ25883: 25883

Hi~ Ti support teams

Our project use BQ25883 as a charger IC for battery.

We want to use the TS ADC function, as we know the BQ25883 can detect the TS NTC  as ADC pin.

Then we can know the NTC tempeture in percentage.

We use an application to monitor the TS ADC 0 and TS ADC 1 Register and output the temperature in percentage each second.

We put the system in a temperature chamber to check the result.

We found the value that we read from the register is drastically.

We don't know the reason~ Why it will change  so many degree within 1 sec?

  • Hi Yuliang,

     

    Are you using a typical 103AT thermistor? Can you capture a waveform showing TS and REGN on the same graph so we can confirm whether the TS pin voltage is actually fluctuating significantly?

     

    Also, when your logs say "TEMP: 75", what are the units for this? Is this TS as a percentage of REGN, or have you already done a calculation to convert the TS ADC reading to the temperature in °C? I would like to see the raw hex values that you read back from the TS ADC1 and TS ADC0 registers.
