UCD9090A: Programming to ProgramFlash vs DataFlash

Part Number: UCD9090A

When using FusionDigitalPowerDesigner to write only the initial settings for UCD9090A, does the write need to be done to the DataFlash only?

Then, the ProgramFlash is what stores the actual program used by the device when running/operating, right?

The image is that the program written in ProgramFlash reads the settings stored in DataFlash and operates accordingly. Is that understanding correct?

  • Hello

Customer only needs to program data flash and program flash shall not be programmed by customer.

When exporting the file, please choose data flash only.

  • Hi Yihe,

Thanks. Could I get a little more detail? I am a complete beginner with this device...

How does Data Flash and Program Flash work, exactly?

I'm looking around Section 7.5 in the DS...any other literature on this?

  • Hi

Program Flash is used to store the firmware which is loaded by TI during the manufacturing. Customer shall not touch it.

Data flash is reserved for customers to load their own configurations generated by TI Fusion GUI.

The firmware loads the configuration during the initialization so that the device can monitor/sequence the power based on what customer configures.
