Hello Team,
A customer of mine would like to use LV2862Y (2.1 MHz) with a max input voltage of 36 V (nominal ~29 V) and output at 5.2 V.
The minumum Ton time would be 69 ns [Ton = 1/(2.1MHz * 36V) * 5.2V = 69ns]. So less than the 80 ns stated in the datasheet. Also Webench refuese to simulate a design with this settings.
The datasheet mentions a "frequency shift" block, but without further details. Is the switching frequency reduced in the above use case? When going doen to 1.785 MHz, min Ton would be 81 ns, so OK.
And during normal operation at a lower input voltage, what will happen if the input increases so that min Ton can't be fulfilled anymore? Will the output voltage increase as well? Or is the switching frequ reduced to keep the output stable?
Thanks.,
Robert
