TPS929120-Q1: Handling error conditions: incorrect resistor/exceed current ratings

Part Number: TPS929120-Q1

We know in datasheet that each output channel is capable to drive up to 75mA with the proper resistor setting (8.45k ohm).

For failsafe planning, customer is asking:

What would happen if the resistor value setting is beyond 75mA? Will the IC cap the current by itself within 75mA or it will allow the current to go up and eventually “damage” the IC?
