BQ34Z100-G1: how does device detect 4 uV measurement

Part Number: BQ34Z100-G1

hi Team,

my customer is evaluating the bq34z100-G1 for BBU application.

the TRM mentions the OCV reading would require the voltage to be stable below 4uV/s

how does the gauge measure such small variance in voltage

the max voltage at BAT is 5V, supposedly the resolution is 152uV

Thanks for the support

  • Hello John,

The gauge will measure voltage over a long period of time to determine if it's stable, so it does not need to have a resolution of 4uV to see a change of 4uV/s. The gauge uses a longer time period to look for the voltage to settle.

    Sincerely,

    Wyatt Keller
