LM76003: Efficiency

Hello all,

I have a question concerning the efficiency of the LM76003. With the webbench simulation I get a efficiency of around 92%. In the datasheet on figure 26 the efficiency is around 88%. Where does the difference come from?

My design:

30V Input, 3A Output, 500kHz, 5.22V Output. FPWM Mode

Hi Jens,

Webench uses different valued components than what was used to run efficiency during validation. This is most likely the cause for the difference.

It is best to get an EVM and test efficiency with your inductor and other components.
