BQ25710: OCP Protection mechanism

Hi All,

As I know,  BQ25710 have some OCP protection on battery and adapter side.

May I know what is the protection mechanism of Q2_OCP & ACX_OCP & BATOC?

Will the MOSFET keep switching but limit the max current, or it will shut down for specific time.

    Hi Evan,

    For ACX_OCP, it senses the voltage across ACP-ACN and the converter is disabled immediately when triggered non latch protection resume switching automatically after ACX comparator release. Q2_OCP is similar but it monitors the voltage across Q2 MOSFET instead of ACP-ACN.

    For BATOC, the converter is disabled (page 40 of datasheet).
