BQ40Z50-R2: New battery pack shows 100%, how to set to real 45%

I just brought up a new 2S1P pack with BQ40Z50R2, 4500_2_11, ChemID 2591.

I went through all the settings I am aware of, the pack seems to be functional, but the pack voltage shows 6983mV at 100% which is off since I know the battery is at about 45%, and the voltage is too low for 100%. Which register do I need to set for the true SoC to show? Going through a discharge does not show the change in the SoC.

Hello Tai,

Have you completed the GPCCHEM tool to find the chem ID and performed a learning cycle? The gauge will not report correct SOC until both of the steps have been completed.

Hello Wyatt,

No, the Chem ID was chosen from the matched cell part number, but not using the GPCCHEM tool. I am in the middle of the learning cycle for this 2S1P pack.

I will update if this learning cycle will update the SoC correctly.

I am following the video for the BQ40Z50 how to setup and steps to go into production. At the learning cycle, it mentions about IT Enable/Disable. How do I perform the IT Enable/Disable command within bqStudio?
