BQ34Z100-G1: Writing ChemID in DF

Part Number: BQ34Z100-G1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO
Hi TI experts!
I have an application where two different batteries can be connected (chemID 0100 and 0400). I would like to store the relevant parameters in a MCU in order to configure the gauge without any intervention of the user (so no BqStudio as the customer doesn't need to know that we are using this gauge in particular).
Apart from the Ra tables, are there any other parameters that we need to store in the DF area?
For instance, what happens with the control sub-command that report the CHEM_ID (table 2-2 of sluubw5)
How can I change its content?
Thanks in advance
Juan G,
  • Hello Juan,

You will need to use the df.fs file to program the chem ID data with your MCU, the subcommand just reports the chem ID that is programmed currently. You can Reference SLUA801 for the parser to upload to the gauge.

    Sincerely,

    Wyatt Keller
