TPS62110: TPS62110 Feedback resistor

Part Number: TPS62110

Hi Expert,

If I want to use variable resistance to change output voltage ,can the R2 and Cff always be fixed when I adjust the output range from 5V~12V ?

I think I will use 100k variable resistance to adjust voltage. (just like shown below picture)

I will screw it. Therefore ,I think it will create a lot of voltage . I think maximum power is 12w.

If I narrow it down to three levels ,R1 fixed and then R2 use 100K ,200K ,300K.

How about this? Do you recommend R1 fixed or R2 fixed?

Thanks for reply.

Jim

  • Hi Jim,

If you are looking to adjust output voltage, I recommend check this app note. You can change the bottom feedback resistor R2 or add variable resistor in parallel to an already installed R2. If you have optimized CFF with a fixed R1, keeping R1 fixed will keep the zero location intact so recommend changing effective R2 value.

    Thanks,
