UC2901-EP: Using the UC2901-EP as an unregulated DC/DC converter module

Hello:

I have used the DCP02 Series, 2-W, 1000-VRMS Isolated, Unregulated DC/DC Converter Modules for bias supplies for H=bridge circuit.

I have an application where I need an extended temperature range (-50C) DC/DC converter. Vout=12-15VDC at 50mA-100mA .

1. Is there an extended temperature (EP) parts for the DCP02 series DC/DC converter?

2. Can I run the UC2901-EP open loop with a transformer isolated output?

3. Is there a better TI solution that you can recommend to make a 15VDC bias supply @ 50mA-100mA that operates down to a temperature of -50C

4. If the UC2901-EP ic is a good candidate for my bias supply are there pre-designed isolation transformers that work with the UC2901-EP.

HI,

1. On DCP02 series, you need to create a separated thread to ask with a part number such as DCP020503, then the thread will be supported by the team to support DCP02 series, which is not the same team to support UC2901-EP.

2. Yes

3. You may look at UCC2808.

4. No, I cannot find a ref design to meet your specs.

Thank you Hong. I found the UCC2808AQDR-1EP that operates at -55C. I think he DCP02 uses a push pull topology. Hope I can find a model for the UCC2808AQDR-1EP .
