Our customer want to use Fuel Gauge.

So I'd like to know right part. Could you please let me know it?

Below is Battery Spec.

-. LG Li-ion 3.64V 3500mAh (Integrated 8A PCM)

-. Cell : LG Chemical INR18650 MJ1 3500mAh

-. Charging Voltage : 4.2V

Additional information.

Fuel gauge will be mounted on B'd.

Michael,

How many cells in series? Also, are you saying the gauge will go on the system PCB and not inside the battery pack?

Only 1Cell and System PCB.

I suggested BQ27421-G1A to our customer now.

But I want to get a confirm and recommended part from you.

I'm looking forward to receiving it.

Hi Michael,

This device is fine, it integrates the sense resistor. Another similar device is BQ27426 which does not integrate the sense resistor. Please note that both of these gauges are ROM based gauges, so the configuration data is stored in RAM and not flash. If the gauge loses power, the configuration is lost and would require the gauge to be re-programmed. If the customer wishes to avoid this, I suggest looking at BQ27z561-R2.
