Hi,

we have a question regarding 7.3.13 in the datasheet - what if an external ramp signal or external capacitor is being used to extend the softstart time, is there a maximum soft start time (tss max) defined?

    Hi Andreas,

    I don't believe there is a defined tss max limit. Increasing the soft-start time will just reduce inrush current during startup. 

    I don't know how long you are asking about. But keep in mind that the over current hiccup mode is disabled during soft start.
