Part Number: UCC27201

Hi team,

Could you share material content report of UCC27201DDAR with PCN#20210305000.1 change ?

We’ve requested it to TI CSC with request number# CS0470434, however no response.

We need the report to get an approval on the PCN from customer.

Thanks, Matt

  • Hello Matt,

I will have to reach out to confirm where to get this information. Which report are you referring when you mention material content report?

    Regards,

  • Hi Richard,

I mean the report which can be obtained at this page.

    https://www.ti.com/materialcontent/home

It can be downloaded with excel file.

Please note that our customer needs the report with PCN#20210305000.1 change.

    Thanks,

    Matt

  • Hello Matt,

I confirmed with internal resources the link which you showed for the material content, and reviewed the PCN as it is affecting the UCC27201. The customer should have a copy of he PCN explaining the change. This PCN is changing the bond wires from Au to Cu, or gold to copper. The material list on the TI material content page will be updated when the PCN has fully implemented.

    Regards,

  • Hi Richard,

Could you request a person in charge of material content report to make it as soon as possible ?

We need material content report with PCN#20210305000.1 change to get an approval from our customer soon.

Otherwise, we cannot deliver the product with PCN change.

i.e. we have to continue to deliver the product without change until getting the approval.

We think TI always gathers material information from suppliers and collects them up as material content report.

So, we believe TI can provide the material content report before production release.

    Thanks,

    Matt

  • Hi Mamadou

Could you request the experts team to send an email to me ?

We don't know how to make contact with the team directly.

    Thanks,

    Matt

  • Hello Matt,

I think the effective date on the change is based on several factors including the material in stock and in process, so I am not sure how many people will be involved. Is there a concern about the planned change, as it has been tested and confirmed that there is not an affect on the device parameters.

    Regards,

  • Hi Richard,

Our customer wants to make sure if there is also not an affect on the material content.

To make sure, the customer has requested to provide the material content report.

We guess the material content report team already has material content info, otherwise TI cannot make a decision on the change, so the team can make the report before production with the change.

We need the report, otherwise we cannot deliver the product with PCN change.

We hope to have a feedback from the team.

    Thanks,

    Matt

  • Hello Matt,

The material content report when it is updated which happens when the material in process is depleted, and the change will reflect material shipped from that point forward. The material list online is the same with the exception of the one item on the PCN which is changing the bond wires from Au to Cu, or gold to copper. This is the only change to the material content list on the PCN.

The material content list will not be updated until the material in flow reflects the change in the PCN. But the customer can expect that one change which is clearly documented and stated in the PCN.

    Regards,
