Hi Eason,

A periodical wake-up function in BQ79616 will have to be implemented on the host MCU side. The BQ79616 device is capable of going to sleep mode by a request of the host MCU, an expired communication timer in case there is no activity on the communication bus or when the cell balancing is completed. Once in sleep mode the BQ79616 device can be send to active state (Wake up) by sending a Sleep-to-Active signal or a WAKE signal.

This is described in the BQ79616 Datasheet in Chapter 9.4 "Device Functional Modes".
