I am using this single device in conjunction with a TMS570 MCU for a battery management system prototype. The fact is that I have a little question about this fault signaling.
If I have understood properly, if any OV or UV occurs, the device would trigger a fault in the system, and I have two ways for acceding to that information with my MCU: one by reading the respective fault register in the BQ, and the other by sensing the FAULT pin (pin-40) in the BQ that will be automatically set to 0.
Is this right? Can I choose between using one or the other?
