Hi, TI expert.

The customer is trying to configure the output terminal OVP using the SS pin of UCC25600.

(Output voltage: 50Vdc , OVP set level: 76Vdc)

Q1) When the SS pin is configured as OVP (using photo-coupler) as in the schematic below, is there any problem?

Q2) Also, please review whether there is any problem with the time constant of the OVP stage.

SS pin of UCC25600 can be used to disable the IC, for example the way you are using for OVP. so there is no concern to realize OVP in you way.

Thanks for the quick reply.

As you said, I understood it by saying that there is nothing wrong with configuring the OVP like the circuit.

Is there any particular problem with the time constant of the OVP circuit in the red box? (Is there anything to edit?)

Grady,

the circuit in red box has no concern. I have concern on the RM919, it should be replaced by a diode. cathode of this diode connect to opto-coupler. since the voltage drop on RM919 my not pull low SS pin effectively.
