BQ25616: Any difference between BQ25606 & BQ25616 TS calculation?

Hi,

My customer had previously used BQ25606 calculation tools which trips exactly at the specific cold and hot temperatures. However, as they migrate to BQ25616 using the same configuration (including the NTC sensor) they are seeing earlier hot temperature trips.

May I know what are the difference between BQ25606 vs BQ25616 in specific to TS calculation?

Hello Christina,

You can see the percentages are slightly different for each charger, but the it should be close enough where there shouldn't be much variation.

Have they changed anything else (charging current, battery, NTC placement?) Are they sure this is an erroneous temperature trigger?
