hello,

We are using a BQ34z100 fuel gauge in our product. we see a requirement of EV2400 but for a start-up it very costly, we want to make this programmer (EV2400) ourselves as we are procuring many components. So we have seen that the ti has given all the board files. But we don't see any bin file for the blank MSP430F5529IPN MCU. Please help in this case or we can purchase pre-flashed controllers From ti.

    Hi Raja,

    You can try using the EV2400 Firmware Updater v0.28 to flash the MCU. I'm not an expert on the MSP430 boot loader but it might require additional steps to get the device into BSL mode.

    thanks for your response. It is very helpful for me. Will EV2400 Firmware updater program the blank MCU if it is in BSL mode? Can you please confirm with any other TI expert so that I can bring all the components and PCB?

    Hello Raja,

    We don't have much experience doing this because the EV2400 is usually a requirement for updating the gauges memory. As Jessica mentioned if you use the design files for the EV2400 and connect the completed board to be used with our firmware updater you may have to put it into BSL mode first.
