BQ40Z50-R2: NTC/PTC for cell surface temperature monitoring and logging in the BQ Studio software. How to remove the RT4 and RT5 on the EVM to attach it to the cell body directly ?

Part Number: BQ40Z50-R2
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ40Z50

Hello TI,

Here is the picture of  the BQ40Z50 EVM from where I tried to detach the RT4 and RT5. I wanted to attach them, as a temperature measurement directly on the surface of the cells after removing from here. I would have used very thin insulated wires from these points on the board just like K-type thermocouple.  But it is not possible as the high heat of the solder damaged the RT sensors already. I read that "muRata PRF18BA103QB1RB thermistor" is specifically designed for it. Can you give me any link etc. that shows how to fix them on the cell?

Is it possible to use the installed RTs instead of buying from muRATA?

Or any kind of advice?

Much appreciated.

Thanks

Regards,
