An ON-OFF switch can work for the LED display, but if you go for the momentary switch, an OFF-MOM switch may work better than the ON-MOM switch. Section 7.3.13 of the data sheet says that the button should apply 2.5V when pressed, and for 1-2 seconds in order to display the LEDs.
