TPS25221: To replace TPS2551 with ILIM short to In

Dears

My customer is using the TPS2553 with ILIM short to In, in this case, the current limited point is 50 -100mA. But customer need a higher current version which can make drop in replacement .

we have found that the TPS25221 is P2P with TPS2553, and TPS25221 have higher current limit range with same Rilim. but in the datasheet, there do not mentioned that, when ILIM short to In, the output current limited range. So we are wondering:

1. if the TPS25221 can support the ILIM short to In?

2. if point one is ok, how about the current limited range when ILIM short to In?

Hi Jun,

Please check page14 of TPS25221 datasheet.

The ILIM pin may be connected directly to IN to provide a 275 mA (typical) current-limit threshold.

The Ios range is [0.275A, 2.7A].

Thanks, and understand, so just want to double confirm if we have a device which have around 100mA min current limited, and also P2P with TPS2553 and ILIM short to in.
