TPS650864: TPS65086401 Register read

Dear team,

Our customer have question.
This device is TPS6586401.
When I read DEVICEID1 register, it showed TPS65086401 in 0x01.
However, it showed TPS6508640 in 0x14 when I read DEVICEID2 register.
Also, I read BUCK123CTRL register, it showed TPS6508640(0x27).
Does this not have any problem?

Hello PAN-M,

To confirm, the part you are looking at is reading:
DEVICEID1 = 0x01
DEVICEID2 = 0x14
BUCK123CTRL = 0x27

We do not have any released spins with those settings. Can you check if the customer programmed the units using the process described in TPS650861 product folder?

Hi,

Our customer says that we use by default value of the device.
Our customer read the register that you appointed it, but the result was the same value.
I attach a waveform when customer read a register.

Hi PAN-M,

The zip file was empty when I downloaded it.

Can you help to provide images of the top of the PMIC as well as quantity of units affected?

I can at least have the test team confirm that the original values were correct.

Hi PAN-M,

Thank you for posting the image.

After reviewing, I have identified that the OTP_VERSION bits of the of the TPS65086401 did not get properly updated in the latest datasheet. The current OTP_VERSION for the TPS65086401 is "B", so DEVICEID2 register is reading properly with 0x14.

My apologies for the confusion and I have submitted the change request to get this fixed.
