TPS61162A: TI solution suggestion

Dear Team,

Please tell me if I can use TPS61162A to control 1.3 inch LCM backlight.
If not, do you have any suggestions for other solutions? It needs to be VQNFA package. Thanks!

Hi Jimmy,

Here are some more system requirements need to know. Could you help to check the LED configuration (how many LEDs cascading and how many strings paralleling), power supply level and current need to be driven through LED panel?

Hi Hardy,

I have checked it with our customer, they use 2pcs( 3V ,20mA) independent LED without string power.

Please help to confirm whether TPS61162A can support it? if not, any other suggestions? they prefer VQNFA package.

Hi Jimmy,

Sorry I am still confused with the requirements. You mean that customer only drive single LED on each channel, but not the LED panel you showed previously? And the LEDs only need 20mA right?

Also we need to get the power supply level from customer's system to see if it can be supported.

This backlight LED structure as shawn as below

K1,K2 is independent should be connected to 2 current sink.

A1,A2 can be connected to a same power rail.
