UCC21225A: about structure of device

Hello E2E,

Our customer is collecting information about structure of the UCC21225A.
- clearance and creepage between primary and secondary for Inside the device.
- Filling material, and electrical characteristic(fro example Electric shock resistance) for it.

Does TI able to provide them?

Hello Francisco,

Thank you for your reply.
Our customer has plan that apply their product for UL alliance.
However, UL thinks that the UCC21225A has not to IEC, therefor, if adopt the UCC21225A for their product, they cant apply UL.
I think thet not need IEC that If we can prove it is safe.
The UCC21225A has VDE V 0884-11 and UL 1577.
The UCC21225A is not opto-coupler, it not need IEC-60747-55.

What is the technique for getting UL to approve CB reports?

Hi ACGUY,

The UCC21225A is certified by UL see link as "Single Protection Non-Optical Isolators, Model(s) UCC21225, May be followed by additional letters and/or numbers."
