Will the VIN and VOUT connections turn off completely when the device goes into sleep mode(VIN_LOWV < VIN < VOUT + VSLEEPZ )?

Hello Noriaki,

In sleep mode there is still some internal circuity powered on. In my testing with Vin 3.4V and VOUT 3.6V, the current consumption from VIN current will be around I_{STANDBY_IN} (~200uA). The battery Iq is around 4uA in this mode.

For lowest battery Iq you should also disable charge, pull /CE high (~350nA).

The bq25171-q1 will prevent reverse current from from VOUT to VIN.
