LM74700-Q1: Enable VIH, VIL, & VHYST

Part Number: LM74700-Q1

Hi Team,

For the LM74700-Q1, the enable VIH_MIN & VIL_MAX we specify in the EC table overlap:

I understand that the enable pin has built in hysteresis, also defined above which would prevent this overlap from ever occurring in reality, however even then, the VHYST_MAX value is larger than the VIH_MIN. Therefore going strictly based off datasheet worst case values, it seems we could theoretically receive a device with a VIH of 1.06V, and a VHYST of 1.35V, putting the VIL level at -0.29V which doesn't seem quite right. Can someone clarify how these values should be viewed?

Thanks!

Andy

  • Hi Andy,

We guarantee that all the parameters are within their respective Min and Max values. So, in the example that you have taken, you will not encounter a part with V(EN_IL) = -0.29V.

So, if you have a part with V(EN_IH) = 1.06V, the worst case V(EN_IL) you would find for that part is 0.5V. So, in this case the V(EN_Hys) will be only 0.56V
