LM25066I: GUI for Telemetry

Hi,

I am looking for a GUI we could use to interface with this part (read current, temp, etc)? I am thinking something similar to Fusion Digital Power Designer which we use TPS53681 and TPS544C20 and similar.

I have been trying with PI-Commander-HotSwap but it doesn't seem to detect the device on the i2c chain. Is this the proper GUI for this part? If so, can you please let me know if I am missing something on the setup?

For reference, I am using a USB to I/O dongle which is the one I use with Fusion Digital Power Designer.

Here is the PI-Commander not finding any devices, but I do find/communicate with other Texas Instruments devices with Fusion GUI.

    Hi Carlos,

    Welcome to E2E !!! Thanks for reaching out to us. PI-Commander is the GUI for LM25066I. Please try to uninstall and install once again after downloading from www.ti.com/.../SLVC572. Kindly make sure drivers for USB Interface Adapter EVM are properly installed in your system.

    Hi Carlos,

    Any USB to GPIO adapter, such as Aardvark I2C/SPI Host Adapter, FTDI Dongle, etc. can be used to communicate with LM25066. However, pin to pin compatibility must be ensured between the adapter and device SCL, SDA, SMBA#, and GND pins. That’s why, TI USB Interface Adapter EVM doesn’t work with LM25066EVK because of mismatch in pin to pin connections.

    Hi Avishek,

    I believe I didn't explain myself well enough, we have actually implemented this device on one of our own boards along with a few other switchers (TPS544C20, TPS53681). Anyways, I was finally able to communicate with our LM25066I using an Aardvark I2C/SPI host but not with USB-GPIO.

    However, now the IIN readback on PI-Commander GUI doesn't match the real measurements or even the read back from our on-board I2C host.

    Does PI-Commander need additional tuning?

    Hi Carlos,

    The value of current sense resistance in PI-Commander GUI should be same as the actual hardware.
